Who Should Attend: This course is designed for including wastewater operators and maintainers.

Description: This training will focus on the four biological secondary treatment process and sedimentation and flotation.

Topics: The following topics will be presented:
Sedimentation and Flotation:

• Sedimentation principles.
• Factors that indicate when a clarifier is not performing properly.
• Mathematical formulas to solve for detention time, weir overflow, surface loading, and solids loading.
