Sewer Use Ordinance, User Charges & Sustainability, and Legal Issues that Can Arise During Construction of Facilities

Class is funded by a NH DES Grant and the course fees are waived for NH Wastewater & Collection System Operators.

Who Should Attend: This seminar is designed for wastewater and collection system managers.

Description: The morning session course will cover the recommended contents of a sewer use ordinance, and a separate, but related, discussion of sewer user charges and wastewater infrastructure sustainability. Afternoon segment will be 2 hours to feature - from the owner’s and their engineer’s point of view before and during construction phase of projects, and review of a case study of a contractor’s bankruptcy during the construction of wastewater treatment projects in Durham and Hampton. Topics include:
