Michael Richard Ph.D., Michael Richard Wastewater Microbiology LLC. Michael Richard, Ph.D., provides activated sludge and lagoon wastewater treatment microbiology troubleshooting and training through his company, Michael Richard Wastewater Microbiology LLC, in Fort Collins, CO. He has more than 40 years’ experience, and has given more than 200 presentations and 150 training courses throughout North America. He has also provided diagnosis and correction of wastewater treatment microbiology problems for more than 500 cities and 300 industries. He is the author of more than 100 papers and technical reports, and the author or co-author of five books on wastewater treatment microbiology including Manual on the Causes and Control of Activated Sludge Bulking and Foaming, Third Edition, 2004. Michael specializes in activated sludge and lagoon treatment, anaerobic treatment, and nitrogen control.

Credits: 10.0 Training Contact Hours

Class is subsidized by a NH DES Grant and the course fees are $50 for one day or $80 for both days.

Who Should Attend: This class is designed for Wastewater Lagoon Treatment system managers, operators, and maintainers.

Description: This seminar and the related discussions will feature fresh ideas and proven methods that offer flexibility in performance by lagoon treatment systems in NH and across the nation. This is especially useful as all facilities face meeting more stringent discharge permit limits that require nitrogen removal. Learn and share ideas on how to stave off the costly decision to replace your lagoon system with a very expensive alternative. Ideas to offer affordable solutions for lagoon owners and operators.

The cost to attend one day of training is $50, or to attend both days June 6 & 7 the cost is $80. Payable to NEWWTA.
