Description: This class will present the fundamentals of applied hydraulics and is an excellent operator certification review class.

Learning Objectives: Participants should be able to:

• Calculate volume, velocity, flow rates and force
• Convert pressure to head
• Understand head-loss principals
• Estimate C factors in pipes
• Define and describe water hammer
• Calculate horsepower
• Calculate head losses throughout a pump system
